Vision
Through collaboration with community partners, legislative advocacy, and resource mobilization, the Balance of State (BOS) Systems Advocacy (SA) workgroup strives to develop solutions that reduce homelessness and improve quality of life across the BOS.
Purpose of the Workgroup:
The Utah Balance of State (BOS) Systems Advocacy (SA) Workgroup is focused on supporting individuals and families experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness by amplifying their voices, meeting their needs, and addressing systemic challenges. Through coordinated advocacy, we advocate for their rights, share legislative information, secure resources, and build community partnerships to help them regain stability, access critical services, and achieve self-sufficiency.
- Keep BOS LHC resources current and easily accessible to individuals seeking services.
- Collaborate with both traditional and non-traditional providers to build partnerships that improve coordination and access to support for people experiencing homelessness across the BOS.
- Educate the public and potential service providers about homelessness and the homeless response system.
- Engage with the community to identify needs and explore advocacy opportunities to improve the system.
